A little rain today

Not as bad as UK but 40+ mm of rain in one day! Whatever next?

Last night I dined with Georgia and her brother. He goes diving so we ate oysters and small squid he caught in the sea that morning. He is a serious diver and has all the gear. He goes deep and is very fit. I saw him sitting by the sea when I came back from my morning walk.  Can’t get much fresher than that. Georgia is not a fan of oysters fortunately for us.

I’m in my pit listening to the rain on the roof. I suspect it will rain all day long.

I woke up to the rain pattering gently on the roof of the van at about 05:30. I eventually gave up the idea of going back to sleep and decided to check the weather on my iPad, read any emails and catch up with the news.

At about 07:30 I took all the dogs for a walk in the rain, fed them, dried them off, cleaned them out and stuck them back in their cages. At least the wind is not blowing so there is no driving rain. They are dry under the bar roof however it is only 12.6C today due to the wetness.

I have a feeling there will be more of the same all so I might decide to watch an interesting film and pretend it’s not happening.

Last night, I was watching Georgia’s TV and could see the damage caused following the latest Kefalonia quake. Less violent that the one last week but nearer to the surface. I have not had any report from Susan and Geoff so assume either it didn’t affect them too much or that the ground opened up and swallowed them [w]hole.

The sea is calm, the sky is grey, the sun is definitely not shining and it is cool. The rain is raining…
