It RAINED!

Only a few drops and not even enough to wet the sand.

Ursula managed to get to the promontory just as the sun was rising and took some pictures of me rounding up the dogs at the end. She wants me to give her some lessons with her digital camera. Those photos were taken with her iPhone but she has a very nice digital camera too. Unfortunately, she does not know how to use it so I have the instruction booklet and am trying to produce an idiot guide to using the camera. There are new pictures in the album for you to see.
The German couple who got their van bogged down on the beach and had to be pulled out of the shingle by one of Antoni’s friends, met up with the Small Dogs this morning. They offered to buy them some food and had disappeared off to Petrakis supermarket in Paleochora when I came back with Boris and the Brown Dogs. Later they came to the camping to bring me the food and to see the dogs. I was down with Ursula and Tony at the time, as I was delivering Heidi for her daily visit. As it happens, Tony took her for a walk today. Anyway, all the dogs were barking frantically so I guessed I had a visitor – who needs a door bell? The Germans came to see the Small Dogs and feed them some biscuits and said they must call by tomorrow on the walk.
A lady from Hanover says she is interested in taking Charlie and Millie. She said that she got my details from someone at PAWS so I have sent information to her. Like selling a house, a dog is not rehomed until it is actually in the new home.
At 15:00, we went to Paleochora to have some lunch at the pizza restaurant where there is an amazing chef’s vegetarian pizza. Tony had moussaka and Ursula salad. Fortunately, I do not need to watch my weight so can afford to stuff my face with pizza. Thin though it is. You actually see the guy making and baking it before your very eyes.
I had an email from the German guy with the little boy who was bitten on the bottom by a dog on the beach last year. He is bringing the rest of his family to Grammeno for the last week in October and wanted to book some accommodation. I went to find Maria to ask about this booking whereupon she suggested I might like to do the reception again. I sweetly declined her generous offer and referred the guy to her. She mentioned that the other German guy with the sleepy son in the hammock was arriving with his newly-acquired caravan or motorhome. I asked where they were planning to put it and she waved vaguely outside and mentioned something about Georgia making a decision (that will be the day!). So long as they are not planning to put them anywhere near either me or Janna or Erica, I don’t very much care.
A few support calls and that just about sums up the day.
