Cold and windy II

bot = lot

I’m not sure how that came about as ‘b’ and ‘l’ are not that near to each other on the keyboard layout.
It is now warm and sunny, so cold and windy is but a memory. It’s is still occasionally a bit windy but nothing like yesterday or through the night. The awning thermometer says that it is 21C (70F): quite warm enough for this time of year. Outside it is 11.4C at present. There was some slight precipitation at walking time earlier and the temperature was only 7C. This did not put off the intrepid Grammeno Dog Pack.
The Small Dogs are making the most of the sunshine. The doors of all the houses face south, so it is possible for them to sit inside, off the ground, but still enjoy the sunlight. Dave is in with them but was making a fuss earlier so I brought out a bed with a blanket for him and put it into the Small Dog run. He sniffed it, looked at it and then went elsewhere. Minnie is the current occupant and is fast asleep. The blanket inside the bed is one I cut up to fit into the former fireplace at Tyndalls. This used to be one of Boris’ favourite spots as he benefited from the afternoon sunshine as it streamed through the dining room windows. The fireplace was a false one as it had no chimney, only a metal flue which served the gas fire with back boiler. The boiler was old and cranky so was upgraded after the first winter.
They are still all snoring…
