A little damp

Some of the forecast rain arrived as I was running around the Promontory. I didn’t want it to interfere with my running as I need to do my run and my cycle ride in order to close my circles at the end of the day. Fortunately, there was only light rain so I was able to do all of my 5 km.

By the time we were back at the camping the sky was much darker and, soon after, it started to rain. The rain continued until the beginning of the afternoon but I was able to feed the dogs during a lull.

After about 14:00 the sun came out and normal service resumed. I decided to bike into Paleochora to buy breakfast fruit as it’s heavy and I needed to do the ride anyway. The supermarket was busier than in the morning but I was soon on my way back to the camping.

I had a little snack before going out to do a bit more cabling. I managed to complete the section between the bathrooms and Georgia’s house but the time was getting on and the dogs needed walking so I adjourned to the office.

Maria had received a parcel which contained the POE switch I won on eBay and which was inadvertently sent to me rather than to Ursula to be brought out by car. As it turned out, it got here quicker by courier.

I unpacked and installed the switch and then fiddled around with Maria’s new laptop which was perched on its ventilated stand. Maria wants to use a keyboard and mouse instead of the trackpad and laptop keyboard so I sorted that out for her.

By this time the dogs were well overdue so we left forthwith. The walk was uneventful other than a young Albanian fisherman who appeared unexpectedly from the rocks. Why he didn’t wait a few moments before leaving I don’t know. He provided plenty of entertainment for the dogs. Albanians appear to all be scared of dogs for some reason. And the dogs know it.

I checked online to see the progress of the water filter which appears to have left Greek customs and is headed, hopefully, to Crete in time for my departure.

I captured Πέντε fed the dogs and had another shower following my tree-hugging experience whilst running the cable. Supper is an action-replay of yesterday and there is another batch in the freezer.
