I have just returned from another yummy meal by Ursula. She did a mushroom stifado which contained two important healthy ingredients: mushrooms and onions. There were plenty of both and I cannot really get enough of either. She said she thought she’d made too much but we managed to dispose of all of it between the three of us.
I picked up another consignment of special dog food from the bus station this evening. The vet in Chania sent it via the bus. A very efficient service as it’s merely a matter of picking it up from there. With access to a car, I was able to pop in and back in no time. Lau was sitting drinking a beer when I drew up in Sascha’s German-registered Mitsubishi. He didn’t immediately recognise me nor I him. He is going back to Holland on Sunday morning as he will have the first of his eye operations shortly. If all goes well, he says he’ll be back on Crete at the end of September however he is not sure where he’ll stay.
The day was sunny and warm with a top temperature of 28C at 15:21.I’d intended replacing the backlink from the Central Kitchen as the sky was mostly overcast.
Mikhalis and Xanthippos needed the long ladder for the roofs of the new cabins and I felt their need was greater.
A party of French 4x4s arrived this afternoon and have deployed themselves at the back of the camping. The group comes about twice each year and will stay only one night.
Maria was struggling with a laptop earlier as Georgia appeared to have the new one. I put my old media computer in the office for her.
I’m falling asleep so need to post this first.
