Ursula does it again!

No unpleasant rude awakenings despite the extra hour. OddJob managed to remain silent possibly because he wasn’t confined to his house.

The walk was starry and moonlit even though there is only around 60% remaining. The moon was overhead so there were few shadows. The dogs mostly behaved well except for Oskar who decided to aim an unprovoked attack at OddJob who has been much less demanding than previously. As I write, OddJob is not with us as he may have been chased off during the evening walk. I might have been a little premature at letting off the dogs. I was in a hurry as I wanted to get back as Ursula had prepared a wonderful curry.

I’ve left open the gate to the field and the door to OddJob’s house; his food is inside if he comes back in the night. On Sunday night he came back and was lying in his house the following morning. He could easily have eaten his grub and disappeared off if he’d wished.

The morning became cloudy and quite dull but not cold. The dullness was a little depressing but finally gave way to some brightness later on. Surprising as the dawn was spectacular as I ran through Grammeno in the direction of Paleochora.

There were a number of departures today: The English/Polish family on their honeymoon together with their two kids, the older German couple who visit fairly frequently and the two Italian families in motorhomes all left. The camping is looking and feels a lot emptier now. The Greek couple with the young boy and the Hungarian-registered motorhome are leaving tomorrow. They have been staying in one of the rooms opposite the camping entrance. They are going to a flat in Paleochora where their son should be able to attend school. As they have a motorhome the size of mine, I’m not sure why they don’t stay in that.

That leaves a German couple in a camper, an English caravan and a couple of French. Apparently, Maria is leaving tomorrow and not today or Monday as planned. She can stay as long as she likes as far as I’m concerned.

I received a call today from a lady who had lost her Google password and asked if she could come to my shop to sort it out. I sent her an email as I felt that she would not want to travel all this way. I told her that Hindhead computers no longer operated in Hindhead but didn’t specify the distance of the move.

There was a support call from Inter Sport too. The rest of the day was unencumbered by too much work. Mostly reading and relaxation together with a little cleaning of doggy runs etc.

Ursula produced a fantastically tasty vegetable curry complete with onion bhajees. Despite the forecast promising a calm day tomorrow, I suspect there may be strong winds in the Grammeno area.

My sore throat seems to be disappearing but I shall go early to bed anyway.

Danny would have been 35 today…
