Little jobs

It made a welcome change not to find everywhere soaked in rain for a change. Hopefully, we have a whole week without rain. We’ll see. The Early Walk went as normal with the usual traipsing around the Promontory. I think they might get bored if I stopped all this marching about. We managed 6.87km even though it seemed further this morning. Princess is getting the hang of this so beware…

A little bit shy of 20km by the end of the day with 4.68km missing from the morning run as the auto-resume feature on the workout is a little temperamental at times.

Shower and breakfast followed by a trip to the bus station to drop Chris and Clare. Chris left me his external hard drive with loads of stuff on it to watch. I have three months so not much of a hurry. Then a little shopping as it seemed like a good idea to get a load of heavy stuff as I had a car to transport it. My shopping extended to a visit to the 1€ shop to buy a couple more shower heads.

I got a load of small jobs out of the way including getting two sensible showers working in the ladies’ bathroom as well as sorting out some of the toilet paper dispensers. There are two working showers in the Gents too. I’ve also been meaning to fix a problem with the lights in the van. The switches are getting more and more difficult to activate so needed attention. Both rear reading lights are now working correctly. I took a look at the light over the hob which can be difficult too. It seems to be working ok now too! Result as they were getting dimmer and dimmer.

Xanthippos arrived at my gate with a parcel: that’s two parcels this week. Anyone would think it’s some kind of festival soon.

The wind was chilly today and the temperature made it only to 15.8℃ as a consequence. The current temperature is 11.9℃ so nippy outside right now. The forecast is looking more stable at present however, that situation can very easily change.

I even put up some Christmas Lights and my Christmas cards!!! I bet you can’t guess when I took the photo.
