90km/h gusts!

Today has been a bit of a washout. For a start, Luis didn’t even look at his food and it contained MEAT. Normally, he’s hoovered it off the plate before it hits the ground. He’s not well as he left a trail of watery dribble on the floor earlier. His food will be there for him tomorrow.

The Early Walk was late and wet. It rained hard during the night and early morning. Despite a forecast to the contrary, it rained whilst we were out on the walk. We completed quite a few circuits then retired before it really came down. I put the dogs in their run as they were wet but relented later. We all went into the van, shut the door and turned on the heating which has been on most of the day. It has been raining and windy for a long time. I’m beginning to lose interest in rain as we head toward 553mm precipitation since October!

Brian called me because his electricity was off. I flipped the breaker back on on the main panel but it jumped straight back again. I isolated the other breakers and tried again. He now has power so all is well. Brian is on the same circuit as Claudia and Helmut who appeared back in the camping earlier today. They have got fed up with the rain too and decided to come back for a couple of days. Hopefully, tomorrow will be fine but I think Saturday will also be wet.

I’ve continued with Inter Sport’s computers and have all the new tills working and much of the work on the servers completed. I need now to move onto the next stage of the upgrade process.

My inactivity left me with a serious Activity Ring Closure Difficulty at the end of the day. I had little desire to go out for the evening walk and I’m not even sure the dogs were that interested. With something like 1,300KJ to burn up, I needed to do something. Running – no. Core workouts would take forever, so walking it was. We trudged around the Promontory for an hour or so and now we are all warm and fit. What more could you ask for?

Before going out for the Evening Walk, I set up the Instant Pot to reheat my food. Unfortunately, the power went off whilst we were out resetting the Instant Pot’s computer so my meal was as frozen as it was when we left. You can imagine how delighted I was to discover that.

It is now ready and I’m eager to eat it as it’s nearly 20:45.
