Somewhat lazy but also productive day

I felt the neighbours should be allowed to sleep so got up at 06:45 for the (not-so-) Early Walk. I took six, there were six cars in the Grammeno Beach car park as well as a Mitsubishi 4×4 with a roof tent. The dogs seemed very slow and dozy despite the brisk wind and the relatively cool temperature. We went down the Promontory scoping out the various bodies and tents scattered about. Most bodies were to be found on the Big Beach but I wasn’t swimming so didn’t care.

We bravely went over the rocks and I let Charlie, Oskar and Fido go off to explore. Luis, Obi and Skinny remained with me. Later, Skinny and Oskar went hunting.

We were out for about an hour and then I did it all over again with SBD, Skinny and Luis (on Ursula’s advice). No rocks this time but Skinny and SBD went on long leads and Luis had a wander and barked at Kostas – as one would expect. Again, after about an hour, we went back and I had a rest whilst my porridge was cooking.

I’ve not done a lot but have performed some small administrative tasks involving the Google sites and the camping network. Not terribly exciting nor demanding. Luis and Oskar have remained lassoed to my chair which keeps them quiet so the day has been tranquil. There might have been some sleeping as well as some YouTube watching.

It’s been warm and breezy with a top temperature of 33.6℃. Tonight and tomorrow are also forecast to be quite windy.

I’m expecting there to be fewer customers on the camping when I eventually venture out there. That said, I’ve also heard the hammering of pegs so any leavers might have been replaced. My main interest is those jammed up against my fence as their presence is a little claustrophobic even though I can only hear and not see them. Maybe this season will last forever…

We’ll go out for a wander around 19:00 and then that will be that.
