New concrete base

A laser was evidently used to align the pipes!
It’s lucky the string line was there to set up the formwork

Xanthippos was hard at work setting up the new concrete base for the additional showers. As can be seen, he used a laser to set up the line of pipes as well as a hitech string line to lay out the formwork.

The Finns wanted to move to a location further from the road due to the noise and to somewhere they could be in the sun. I set them up in the space behind me which is sheltered from the wind and gets some sun. Xanthippos arrived to tell me they couldn’t go there because he needed to start yet another job by concreting in posts to put up some shading for tents in the summer. The posts are still not concreted in as there was no concrete left over. Seems he’ll need to get his mixer out after all.

I spent quite a lot of the day working on the WiFi monitoring application when I wasn’t messing around finding another location to put the Finns. Luckily, they moved today as it was extra noisy as the machines were working directly in front of the camping. I had to thread my way past an excavator to get back into the camping after my afternoon ride to Krios. The same excavator was found to be helping put in yet another palm tree for Ammos Beach Café. Maybe he has a hankering to be in Miami?

Antonis and side-kick arrived to measure up for the solar panel mounting frame and says some metal should be delivered soon. He didn’t come on Friday as he got a metal fragment in his eye so was at the hospital.

The Early and Evening Walks were uneventful and dry. It was cold enough to warrant a padded coat on both walks. The wind is strong and from the north. There was a wonderful alignment of the moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn today. Unfortunately, Saturn was quite difficult to see.

I’ve just braved the main bathroom as I was too busy to shower this afternoon. It was quite chilly in there. The Pot has just gone off so I should get some food pretty soon.
