Mosquitoes!

We had a longer walk this morning as we were back in good time from our river walk. We went back onto the Promontory along the rocky eastern shore to the end and back along the west side.

The dogs spilled over into Grammeno Beach but I turned them back and took them in via the field as I didn’t fancy taking them through the camping making Georgia’s dogs bark.

I went on a bike ride to Krios but, for the second day in succession, Gregor and his dogs were not there so I turned around and came straight back to the camping.

After a chat with Erica and Janne, I released the dogs and got on with the morning routine.

A couple arrived as my breakfast was cooking so we went on a tour of the camping to see what they’d like to rent. They finally settled on T1 so I was able to make my weekly call on time.

The afternoon was sunny and warm so I wandered down to the beach as the dogs were sleeping quietly. There was a stiff southwesterly breeze so the sea was less appealing than recently. Nevertheless, I stayed in for nearly twenty minutes. I swam out from the beach in a straight line then let myself be gradually brought back by the waves and wind. My task was to keep on course.

I got a hot shower before changing and getting the Doggy Dinners from the fridge in the central kitchen and preparing it for later.

There were two calls from Maria to tell me about the couple who took T1. The woman who didn’t arrive yesterday sent a text to tell me she isn’t coming which was considerate of her.

There was a support call from Inter Sport in Lewes as they had a server problem. It was near the end of the day so Ray will come in early tomorrow to see if we can get it working again.

A big ginger tom asleep in the box where I put the food for the visiting cats. He’s just another, rather battered, stray.

The mosquitoes are out in force so I’m going in to eat something.
